Central South Island Synod

Central South Island Synod is the regional body of the Methodist Church in Canterbury, and it exists to support and oversee the ministers and parishes in the District.

We aim to create strong and vibrant communities where we worship and celebrate together and are nurtured in our faith and through our life journeys. We work together in ministry and mission, drawing on the strengths and passions of each congregation. We aim to be a focal point for our local neighbourhoods and wider community, responding to local needs and advocating on issues of injustice both locally and globally.
